TSMEDE (Engineer and Public Work Contractors pension fund) BUILDING. REHABILITATION OF BASEMENT, GROUND FLOOR AND MEZZANINE.
This six stories building houses the Engineers and Public Work Contractors pension funds services.The building, built in 1939, has a reinforced concrete framing system and is classified as preserved.The main rehabilitation measures were :
- Removal of partition walls and reconstruction of mezzanine and staircase.
- Construction of central shear walls along the perimeter of the ground floor.
- Strengthening of interior columns (concrete jackets).
- Full height steel shaft for the new elevator.
